"Game Boy" - a card for teenage boys

Yesterday was another beautiful day and another bike ride - but we cut it short at 26.4 km. We saw two beautiful deer crossing the trail in front of us. One of them was quite young, probably this year's fawn, and it stood and watched us ride closer to her and then it took off. So beautiful. We have seen a lot of wild life this year but have missed a few that we wished we saw. The Grey Owl was a blessing to see but we missed the Snowy owl. In July there was a Frigate at Rondeau but it was the hottest week of the year and we had two of the grandsons here and didn't make it out to the park - of course, we also did not know it was there or we would have gone. A Frigate is a very large bird - 8 foot wing span - and is normally found only in Florida or along that coast. No idea how it ended up in Rondeau but it did, and we missed it.  This week there are two white Pelicans, also normally from Florida, at Mitchell's Bay which is about 20 minute drive from here, but they are not reporting where exactly they are to avoid a crowd of people scaring them away so we won't likely see them either. Would be nice though. I'll just have to talk hubby into going to Florida for awhile this winter.

Today's card is the perfect card for the male teenager, or college student. The challenge at Stamping Bella was to make a birthday card.

Fun stamp to colour - this one was done with water colour pencils. Background is just left over pieces that went together and a brass brad.

Another weekend is coming and it looks like great weather all weekend so I'm sure another bike ride and a hike will be happening. Sad to say that the summer is slipping away too darn fast. I don't mind fall because of all the beautiful colours it brings but I'm just not a winter person.
