Another rainy day….another not so great day for those of us who
suffer from trigeminal neuralgia…it doesn’t like low atmospheric pressure! This
morning was a very lazy morning because I just didn’t feel like doing anything
and wondered how I was going to put in the day….and then my friend Jane rang
the doorbell. She just decided to stop in for a visit – her timing was
wonderful! After she left Joe said, “How nice Jane stopped in. That filled some
time for you didn’t it!” This afternoon I felt a little better and went down
and made some more cards….no quilting on these days!
To glitter or not glitter was my thought the other day and the
glitter won. I had made some other cards with these new Penny Black dies and
added coloured glitter which was okay but not great. So, I wondered what clear
glitter would look like on them. Here is a card I made without glitter and then
with the clear glitter added. What a difference.
The background paper was run through the Big Shot in an embossing
folder and then glued to the white card base. The flower was stamped (Penny
Black stamp) after being inked up with Tombow markers onto water colour paper.
Then it was die cut with a Spellbinder’s fancy rectangle die. Clear gems were
added to the centre of the flower and on four spots on the rectangle. The
silver sentiment is a peel off. It was okay but it just lacked something. So I
added some clear glitter!
This just took the card to an all new level. Love how it turned
out. And no it's not crooked - the photographer's camera loves to take photos crooked!
That’s all for a rainy Wednesday,
Cheers
Violet
